Caring stewards drown when they try to carry the care, the problem, and the outcome all at once. The discipline is to split them. Carry the care — stay human, stay warm. Route the problem — send it to the person, team, or resource actually equipped to handle it. Release the outcome — you don't control how it lands, and pretending you do is what burns you out.

This is how you remain soft-hearted and still survive years of stewardship. You're not the answer to every problem; you're the one who makes sure each problem reaches its answer and then lets it go.
